Frequently asked
I'm already certified. Why do I need a mentorship program?
Certification gives you the method. Time on the floor gives you the teacher. Most teachers we know hit a stretch a year or two in where they realize they have questions no certification body can answer, and no community around them to work through it with.
Level III is built for that moment. It's a quiet, consistent space to keep refining your work alongside people who care about it as much as you do.
What does Level III actually look like month to month?
Each month you attend a Level III meeting where we work through whatever is showing up in your teaching. You take four group classes at the studio, observe Level II meetings when you can, and have a direct line to our senior instructors for questions in between.
Across the six months you also get two quarterly workshops and two private sessions with a senior instructor. You can use those privates for technique refinement, body work, programming for a specific client, or whatever you need them to be.
Is this only for Contour instructors?
No. Level III is open to any certified Pilates teacher who wants continued mentorship and a community of working teachers around them. You do not need to teach at Contour to apply.
What's the difference between Level II and Level III?
Level II is an apprenticeship. It's intensive, structured, and built around preparing you to actually work as a teacher: lesson planning, test-out prep, live teaching practice, onboarding into a studio.
Level III is for teachers who have already done that work, with us or elsewhere, and want to keep growing. The pace is steadier, the work is yours to drive, and the mentorship is built around your real teaching practice rather than a curriculum.
Can I do Level III again next cohort?
Yes. Some of our Level III graduates re-enroll for a second cohort and the work deepens each time. Continued mentorship is meant to be exactly that, continued.
