From current mentees

It has been very inspiring to observe the different teachers at Contour and their unique style. It's been nice to see the way different class plans get put together and to hear cues that are helpful for me to use in my own teaching.

— Alex, Level I Mentee

What motivated me to join Level I was that I admired and respected the thoughtfulness I felt come through at Contour! I wanted to immerse myself in a studio that was authentic to Pilates while working through my certification.

— Jairyn, Level I Mentee

There were three main motivators for me to join Level I: having access to the studio for practice hours, Contour's inclusivity, and the opportunity to observe different teaching styles and education backgrounds.

— Erin, Level I Mentee

I've learned an incredible amount from observing the Level II and Level III meetings at Contour. Hearing other instructors talk through the exact same challenges we're all experiencing has been incredibly valuable.

good questions

Frequently asked

Is this worth it if I'm already paying for a certification program?

Yes, and here's why. Your certification program teaches you the method. This program teaches you how to teach it. There's a real difference between knowing Pilates and knowing how to stand in front of a room full of clients, read a reformer setup, cue someone safely, and keep a class moving with confidence.

Level I gives you the real-world studio context your certification program simply can't replicate because it happens inside a working studio, alongside working teachers, in real time.

The price feels high.

We hear that, and it's a fair thing to think about. A 4-class monthly membership at Contour is $144. Level I Premiere gives you those 4 classes plus studio access for personal practice, meeting access, discounts on privates, and a seat inside a real working studio, all for $249/month.

When you add it up, you're getting well over $500 in monthly value. We designed the pricing to make this as accessible as possible while still being able to give every mentee the time, space, and feedback they deserve.

Does this guarantee acceptance into Level II?

Completing Level I does not automatically guarantee acceptance into Level II. What it does is put you in the strongest possible position to be considered.

Mentees who show up consistently, submit their observation logs, engage in meetings, and demonstrate real growth are exactly who Level II is designed for. Level I is your opportunity to show us — and yourself — that you're ready for what comes next.

How is this different from just observing classes on my own?

Observing on your own means watching. This program means learning.

You'll submit structured observation logs and attend meetings where we discuss your questions about what you're seeing in the studio. Those conversations get into the details that a casual drop-in observation never could. You're not just logging hours — you're building a teacher.
